CTF--CTS: Foundations for the Future

The new Career & Technology Foundations (CTF) curriculum is ready for implementation. Are you ready? Are you looking for resources? Want to know how CTF relates to CTS? For insight into these questions and more, plan on attending the Fall 2015 CTF/CTS Conference this year.

We are planning an exciting and informative conference focusing on Robotics,, Fabrication, Mechanics, Engineering, Media, Safety, Career preparation and education, Foods, and, of course, CTF.

Skills Canada Alberta will also be in attendance with information and insight to prepare you and your students for regional and provincial competitions.

We are excited to announce that Environmental Public Health is offering a "Food Safety" certified course at our Conference. This certificate enables Foods/Culinary teachers to deliver the new FOD3900 course to their students. This is a full day session held at the Sawridge Hotel venue on Fri, Nov 12th. Extra fees for this session, TBA, cost of supplies only.

In addition, we have confirmed a guided tour of the Suncor Oil Sands site including reclamation areas.

Come network with colleagues from across Alberta, attend hands-on workshops, sessions from professionals, visit exhibitor booths with CTS specific wares, see the sights in and around Fort McMurray, and enjoy social activities.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Neil Young visited Fort Mac, have you? Have you ever wondered what is happening up North? What do the oil sands look like? What is all the media buzz about? This is your opportunity to see it from the more balanced perspective of an educator.

The CTS Council has worked hard to make this conference affordable for all. All meals are included in your registration, a special "Single Day Delegate Pass" for any who need it, very affordable room rates at our hotel venue, and very inexpensive chartered bus transportation from Calgary and Edmonton for those attending our Conference. Transportation for those coming from other zones can contact the 2015 Conference Director for special information.
